Is It Hard To Build A Blog?
Years ago when the internet was still in its infancy the answer to this question would have been yes. It consisted of having to know html code and a bunch of binary mumbo jumbo. Over the years technology has changed drastically and anyone can have a live blog online with a few clicks of a mouse.
If you don’t believe me, you need to understand that this very website was created that way! I have written an entire page on this subject called free websites free domain name and if you are interested in learning just how easy it is please visit there.
What Do I Write About?
Content is the #1 most important piece to the blogging puzzle. I am sure you have heard the expression ‘Content is King’ and that is for good reason. Because it’s absolutely true! You must create a blog about something you are passionate about. Something that you can easily write about because you have knowledge within the topics chosen.
Your blog must be geared toward solving other peoples problems and helping others. That must be your main objective. Sharing knowledge – whether it be answering someones questions on one of your posts, to directing a visitor to a related product that may solve a problem they are having.
A blogs main objective should never be about making money. That aspect comes later. Creating trust and encouraging interaction is a must if you want to become a succesful blogger. I have created a more in depth page on this particular topic at create wealth from home using passion.
How Do I Make Money From My Blog?
This is usually the question everyone wants to know about and its actually not the hardest part. First and foremost, you need to build your blogs foundation and fill it with good, helpful content. The internet was built to be an information hiway. If you constantly update your blog you will start see rankings and organic traffic from the search engines as a result.
Once you start getting consistent visitors to your blog daily you can start to monetize it accordingly. And when I say consistent visitors I’m not talking thousands per day! I mean just 10 or 20 people each day will bring results. There are many ways you can monetize your blog but it almost always revolves or goes back to the roots of one thing. Affiliate marketing.
This is normally the best and most successful way that bloggers can generate a passive income online. Because there is so much to know about searching for, finding and joining affiliate programs I rather show you with this fantastic video tutorial below…You may need to create a completely free account to access the video but I do recommend it as they’re are tons of other video tutorials that will help you on the inside!
I really hope you enjoyed that video as much as I did! It really opens your eyes and allows you to see just how much potential there is when you think about making money from blogging. I also hope you enjoyed the short overview. Now we can get into some of the marketplaces you can partner with that will help make you money!
1. Make Money With Google Adsense
When you partner with Google Adsense (If you are accepted) they will generate certain snippets of code that are unique to you and your account. You can then place these snippets of code onto your blog. When vistors come to your blog they will see relevant ads that the code has generated.
If visitors click on these ads Google pays you a certain amount of money. Normally cents per click but if your blog generates a lot of traffic those numbers can add up very quickly. Many bloggers make a lot of money just from Adsense alone.
2. Amazon Associates
Partnering with Amazon is another fantastic way to earn money on your blog. Amazon is much more lenient in their acceptance process and with millions of products you can promote you can bet you’ll find something that is relevant to your niche.
Amazon’s commission payouts are a little on the low side (5-10%) of the retail but you will never have to search to far to find something to promote. They work the same way. When you get your account you just find the products your interested in promoting and then grab your unique link and place it on your blog. The rest is up to your visitors!
Clickbank is a very cool completely digital online marketplace. Not only can you promote other peoples digital products you can create products of your own and have others promote it for you! One of the best things about Clickbank is that there is no shipping costs or overhead on their products.
Because of this the creators often pay very high commissions, in most case over 50% but sometimes as high as 80%. You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to see how that can add up in a hurry. I do recommend that you try the products for yourself before promoting them. Sometimes products aren’t exactly what they claim to be and buyers can easily get refunds meaning you lose your commission.
4. Sell Health
Sell Health is an affiliate marketplace that deals with only health and wellness products. One thing I like about this company is that they have beautiful landing pages to send your traffic to. Most often than not they will have free trial offers which greatly increases conversion rates. Their products include anything from the crazed Garcinia Cambogia weight loss supplement to hair regrowth products. A good fit if you wanted to start a health and fitness blog.
5. Commission Junction
Commission Junction or (CJ) is another great affiliate platform with an array of products to promote. As with Adsense this marketplace can be picky with its acceptance algorithm but when you do get approved to partner with them it can be very profitable.
One thing I don’t care for with CJ is the fact that once you are accepted you still have to apply to each company on the inside in order for you to get your affiliate links and start promoting products. This is not the case with sites like Clickbank and Sell Health.
Once you become a member you can promote anything on their website. Below is a great tutorial video to show you how to get started with Commission Junction…
There are many more ways on how to make money blogging from home but the five I have listed above are just my personal preferences. Those are the affiliate programs that I use most often and have had some success with.
I understand that if you are new to all this you may have questions. Please do not hesitate to ask them, leave feedback or tell me some affiliate partnerships you prefer in the comment box below. I may not have heard of them!
